Yossi Tal, Ph.D
Yossi Tal earned his Ph.D. from Northwestern University and was a statistician at the National Institute of Health (NIH). He lectures extensively on statistics for non-statisticians and wrote Reading between the Numbers: Statistical Thinking in Everyday Life (McGraw-Hill, 2001) and Strategy and Statistics in Clinical Trials (Elsevier, 2011). Yossi specializes in biostatistics, psychometrics and data mining.
Tal Zucker has a B.Sc from Bar-Ilan University and an MBA from the College of Management, Ramat-Gan. Tal joined TechnoSTAT with extensive management experience in the pharmaceutical industry. She served as Deputy General Manager in a number of Israeli pharmaceutical companies and specializes in business development, strategic business planning, marketing and finance.
Yulia Gavrilov, Ph.D
Scientific Director, Chief Statistician
Yulia Gavrilov holds a Ph.D in Statistics from Tel-Aviv University and came to TechnoSTAT after a two-year post-doc at Harvard’s Department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology. Yulia was a consulting statistician at Tel-Aviv University, where she currently teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses. Yulia specializes in biostatistics, variable selection, multiple comparisons and data mining.
Statistics Department Manager
Shmuel Packer holds an M.Sc in Neuroscience and a B.Sc in Biology from Brandeis University in Boston, MA.
Shmuel joined TechnoSTAT in 2010, serving as a senior biostatistician and project manager prior to his present role. Before coming to TechnoSTAT, Shmuel served as a researcher at Harvard Medical School’s Pain Research Center in Boston.
Clinical Data Management Department Manager
Yael has a B.Sc. and M.Sc from Tel-Aviv University in Biology and Epidemiology.
Yael joined TechnoSTAT with extensive experience and knowledge in data management and clinical trials. She has managed clinical trial teams, working on large international multi-center clinical studies as well as on smaller Israeli studies.
